Robert Schmidt graduated from the University of Idaho with a professional degree in Architecture in 1993. Rob worked at H2A Architects, PA for the first 12 years of his architectural career, working on numerous residential, commercial, medical, industrial, collegiate, and municipal projects all across the Pacific Northwest. Rob was the project manager of many projects ranging in scale from small projects to multi-million dollar projects.
In 2005, Rob was hired by Black Rock Development to be a member of the of the Design and Construction division. With Black Rock, Rob’s experiences originally centered around high end custom residential. His responsibilities grew to include, project management, graphic design, golf course master planning, resort community infrastructure, and master planning. The scale of the master plans ranged from small residential developments to a 78 acre site in the middle of downtown Spokane.
Using his local knowledge and contacts, Rob was also an integral part of the selection and hiring of outside resources, engineers, and specialty consultants. Rob acted as the developer's representative on many projects, including custom residential, commercial buildings, multi-family residential, and multi-use commercial. He was instrumentally involved in the projects inception all the way to the projects completion.
In 2008, Rob began working for Eric Hedlund Design LLC as Project Manager, once again focusing on custom single family residences. Rob uses his wealth of architectural experience to assist clients in all facets of the planning and building experience. As the Design Coordinator, Rob currently manages and runs three different residential development design review committees in Idaho and Washington.
